How to Find Us
By Air: The nearest airport is Kerry, 20 minutes north of Killarney and 1 ½ hours drive from Westcove Farmhouse. Ryanair fly there daily from Stansted and there are also direct flights from Manchester and Luton. Many airlines offer flights to Cork, about 2 ½ hours drive. Note that Shannon Airport is a good four hours drive away - much further than it looks.
By Sea: The most direct route from the UK to South West Ireland is via Swansea/Cork Ferries. The drive from Cork to Westcove takes approximately 3 hours. For sailings and rates check their website www.fastnetline.com .
There is also a choice of sailings from the south west of England to Rosslare with Stenaline or Irish Ferries.The drive from Rosslare to Westcove takes approximately 5 hours.
Other ferry services operate from Scotland and the North of England to Larne near Belfast and to Dublin.
Directions
From Kerry Airport drive through Killarney and on to the Muckross Road, thence through the National Park to the top of Molls Gap. Turn right to Sneem and on through Castlecove. After one mile you will see an approach sign on the left Westcove Bakery and Crafts. Turn left up a small lane and Westcove Farmhouse is visible to the right.
From Cork take the N22 Killarney Road and follow it until about 10 miles short of Killarney where you turn left for Kenmare. Then follow the signs to Waterville. Ten miles after going through the pretty village of Sneem you reach Castlecove. Then directions as above from Kerry Airport.
Note: A car is essential here as there is no public transport.
