Coming from Westport in County Mayo which in itself is a beautiful place and arriving at this utterly stunning apartment in the most peaceful and beautiful locations would have to go down as one of the best decisions we have ever made
They say that strangers are just friends you haven’t yet met. Here at Westcove you will find yourself amongst friends. Those ancient monks were right, this is heaven on earth and I am sure you will find your stay as relaxing and restorative as ours has been. Dear Jane. Thank you so much! You’ve done everything to make us feel at home in your beautiful cosy apartment with such wonderful views. It was the ideal place for our first week in Kerry. Thanks for your delicate attention, delicious soda bread, marmalade. We love the scenery which has enveloped us, body and soul. We’ll definitely come back!
Thank you Jane for a wonderful stay in such a beautiful, special spot. We were warmly welcomed in this lovely flat, with delicious pastries freshly baked each morning. It did us the world of good to be near the sea again and blown about by the wind! We hope to be back soon!
Dear Jane, Heather and I so enjoyed our stay here in your beautiful farmhouse! After a long evening of driving, it was so nice to arrive at such a warm and welcoming home. We loved waking up in the morning to the sounds of the birds, looking out across the bay and wondering what adventures we would head off to. The scenes are truly magical along the Ring of Kerry and we wish there was more time to stay and enjoy the beauty of it. Thank you for everything!

Unsere Übernachtung bei Jane war sehr gut! Die Wohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet und Jane hat uns super versorgt und Tipps gegeben. Hervorzuheben ist das grandiose Frühstück mit selbst gebackenen Croissants und leckerem Müsli. Für Reisende auf dem Ring of Kerry uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen! 🙂
Thank you Jane for a most wonderful holiday experience. The accommodation at Westcove was exactly as we would have wished for. The many activities available in the area made our time here even more memorable. Beautiful walks, Derrynane National Park, the Skellig Ring to name but a few. However, all these were eclipsed by the warm friendly people we met in Westcove and Castlecove. When we have time to reflect, it will be the memory of the people, their chat, welcome, local music and love of life that will surely bring us back again. We loved the whole experience.

Thank you so much for allowing us to share this most wonderful setting. Our suggestion for all who follow in our footsteps is to seek out Jane’s recommendations and pursue them to the letter – we did and as a result enjoyed great music, fabulous food and beautiful scenery. And of course as virtually everyone else has remarked, the best croissants in the world!!

For those interested in birds – what we have seen around Westcove in no particular order:
Black Headed Gull, Little Egret, Blue Tit, Coal Tit,Great Tit, Long Tailed Tit,Robin, Dunnock, House Sparrow, Blackbird, Grey Heron, Cuckoo, Collared Dove, Curlew, Blackcap, Herring Gull, Lesser Black Backed Gull, Chaffinch, Gold Crest,, Greater Black Backed Gull, Pheasant, Snipe, Pied Wagtail, Long Tailed Wagtail, Bullfinch, Green Finch, Magpie, Swallow, Wood Pigeon, Gold Finch, Sand Martin, Sparrow Hawk, Jackdaw, Starling, Carrion Crow, Song Thrush, Rook, Willow Warbler, Common Gull, Oyster Catcher, Common Tern, Ringed Plover, Gannet, Raven, Wheateater, Kestrel, Chiff Chaff, Stonechat, Meadow Pipit, Reed Warbler, Guillemot and wren! Whew!! Also we were lucky enough to see Grey Seals, Hare, Stoat, Red Fox, Rabbit and a Frog!
A wonderful hideaway with fabulous hospitality and great breakfast Highly recommend a visit to Jane’s. Great pub nearby for a terrific evening meal too
